About me
I'm a PhD candidate in physics at the University of Chicago. I'm Coptic- and Egyptian-American, New Jersey-born and raised.
In my research, my primary tools of choice include:
- Julia
- C++
- Python
Beyond science and HPC, I'm passionate about scientific outreach and pedagogy. I hold a College Teaching Certificate from the University of Chicago. In my personal life, I'm passionate about tech DIY, film, and writing.
I've written on film preservation for MUBI Notebook, Oppenheimer for Sight and Sound, the legacy of Oppenheimer for Scientific American, and Coptic attitudes towards death for The New Arab.
Let's work together!
